how to make 200 dollars fast

Do you know how to make 200 dollars in one day? But wait, why do you want to know that?

Read on.
(If you’re like me and prefer to watch a video over reading how to make $200 in one day, then I’ve added that video just for you!)

According to USA Today, 40% of Americans don’t have $400 to spare if an emergency were to pop up today.

The same survey notes that the median savings account for a household is about $4,000, which is far below the recommended amount to have for difficult times.

If you can figure out how to make 200 dollars fast in one day this issue can be stopped.

Many people don’t like to think about emergencies or save money for something which has not happened, but it can help you in unfortunate situations.

There are ways to make money quickly and legitimately. We have 20 of them below.

Sidenote: if you need accountability and would like a step by step process for building your new online business, check out this 15 day challenge.

You have to understand that any of these ways will not start generating $200 within one day of starting or implementing. You’ll need to learn new skills and invest a few dollars to get started.

You also might want to check out useful business tools that I use as well.

Also, check Appsumo, as it often has superdiscounted deals on business tools.

But yes all of these projects or jobs can bring 200 dollars per day in the long run.

Let’s get going.

How To Make 200 Dollars In One Day

Be An Online Tutor

Don’t forget that we live in a world of more than 7 billion people. So people all around the world are looking to learn the language that you know.

Whether it’s English, Japanese, Spanish, Chinese, or Arabic, some students would love to have you as a teacher.

One of the significant aspects of becoming a tutor is that you can work on a flexible schedule and work remotely. For me, any opportunity that I look at must meet the criteria of being done remotely.

If this might be a good fit for you, connect with a company like Preply and get going with one of their many available tutoring jobs.

Start A Blog

Being a blogger myself, I believe blogging is the most viable way of making money if you are looking to earn from the comfort of your home.

It does require an investment of time, capital and a lot of hard work but if you treat your blog as a business it has the potential to generate more than $200 per day on its own.

If you’d like to know more, I have an article showing how much it costs to start and run a blog.

How does a blog make you money?

  • Writing about different products and then adding their affiliate links. For example, if you run a travel blog, you can include links from the Travelpayouts affiliate network to monetize your traffic.
  • Offering consultancy services (anything which you are good at and using your blog as a portfolio)
  • Running ads through networks like Ezoic, Mediavine, Adthrive or Google Adsense
  • By getting sponsored posts

What investment is required to start a blog?

The two essential expenses of starting a blog are:

  • Domain – You can get it through any domain provider like GoDaddy or Namecheap for under $20/ year
  • Hosting – I recommend Bluehost for beginners as it can cost you as little as $3 or $4 a month

Both of these can be acquired for under $75 for one full year.

Simple steps to launch a blog:

1- Perform keyword research and choose your niche.

2- Acquire a domain and hosting using Bluehost.

2- Choose your theme. We recommend and use Divi.

3- Install WordPress and design a basic website.

4- Write your first blog post.

5- Add affiliate links to your favorite programs (whether Landingi, Fiverr, Canva, or any other – I’ve got a list of 35 here.)

6- Drive traffic through SEO and social media. Use tools like CrowdFire to schedule social media posts.

7- Guest blog to gain backlinks and raise domain authority.

8- Get ranked on Google to get organic traffic and increase your affiliate conversions.

Are you ready to start a blog? Start by getting hosting through Bluehost for as low as $2.95 per month.

Do you have a room/basement in your house which is not in use? Try renting it out at Airbnb.

At Airbnb, you decide when to make your space available and at what price.

Listing is free, and you can individually approve potential guests.

You don’t have to deal with payments as the guest will pay upfront, Airbnb will keep a 3% booking fee as its share and will transfer you the rest.

You can also earn with Airbnb even if you don’t own a property.

Become an Airbnb manager: As a manager, you have to manage all aspects of the property.

You will reply to guest messages, check guests in, top-up amenities and turn the property over after each booking.

As a managing partner, you can receive anywhere between 10% to 20% of each booking.

And if you manage multiple properties you can easily earn $200 per day.

Create An Online Course

Take a few minutes and let’s think. What are you good at?

What skills do you have which you can share with others?

It can be anything:

  • Cooking
  • Sewing
  • Marketing
  • Graphic designing
  • Ads designing
  • Origami

There are countless skills that can be monetized in the form of online courses. If you’d like to see a few examples of courses I have created have a look here.

Simply record a tutorial. It does not need to be a 4-month long course. You can start with an hour-long video, upload it on any online course creation platform like Teachable or Thinkific, price it and let it bring you money while you sleep.  So why not give it a shot?

Let’s Create Your First Course With Thinkific, Teachable, Podia or Udemy.

Invest In Stocks With Robinhood

Though making money by investing in stocks requires a long-term commitment but here is the good news.

There is an investing app called Robinhood which gives you a free stock (no strings attached) when you sign up.

You can also buy and sell stocks for free through this app.

When you sign up through our link you will have a chance of getting Microsoft, Visa, or Facebook stocks. These stocks can worth up to $244.

You can also immediately cash out these stocks and might make more than $200 in one day.

While you can make 200 dollars in a day, make sure that you are aware of the risks in stock market trading.

You have the potential to also lose your entire investment.

A similar investing app that I use and recommend is Webull. Like Robinhood, you get a free stock when you first signup.

Run Paid Promotions For Affiliate Products

Affiliate marketing is a way that makes money while you sleep (once you learn the ropes). It has the potential to bring over $1000 per day in profits.

How to do affiliate marketing:

  • Signup for affiliate networks like Clickbank, Shareasale or CJ affiliate network.
  • Pick a product you like.
  • Drive traffic to your affiliate links by running different types of ads – Facebook ads, Instagram and Youtube ads, native ads, or display ads.

Affiliate marketing is a rewarding field but it requires training about picking up a product and then designing and running ads smartly so that you don’t end up losing money.

Create A Print on Demand Store Using Shopify or Etsy

The e-commerce industry is trending at the moment due to the COVID 19 outbreak. People are preferring to buy online and getting products delivered home instead of going to shopping malls.

Opening a POD dropshipping store is one of the best and cheapest ways to start an e-commerce business. It can be started easily under $100.

Here’s the one we started where we sell Hustle Shirts!

In a nutshell, POD is an online business model where a printer of e-commerce goods provides you with printing and ships merchandise directly to your customers – on demand

You can open a Shopify store and integrate it with Companies like Printful.

For Etsy store merchants, Printify provides Print-on-demand services.

These networks have free catalogs and you have access to all products immediately.

You can also use a platform like Spocket to find vendors to drop ship their products directly to your customers.

With proper promotion strategies, a POD store can bring you $200 or more per day.

Babysitting

Still asking yourself, “How can I get 200 dollars fast?”

Babysitting is a well-paid job depending on where you live, how much experience you have and how many hours you can dedicate to this kind of work.

Babysitters in larger US cities can get paid anywhere from $15 to $25 per hour per kid.

Babysitting for people you already know can help you get started because they already trust you.

Once you have worked for people you are acquainted with, you can use them as a reference and get more work easily.

There are several websites like Care.com where you can register yourself as a babysitter and get the ball rolling.

One good thing about babysitting is that you can easily adjust it around your schedule whether you have school or a job.

And once your babysitting hours have been completed you can get paid instantly.

And if you’re lucky enough to find someone with multiple kids and they want you to housesit for the weekend, you’ll easily make 200 dollars in a day.

Rent Out Your Car

Do you have a car sitting around idle in your garage? Or you are home for a week and won’t be using it.

Why not get it listed on car-sharing marketplaces like Turo and make some cash while it is not in use.

You can easily get your sports car, your truck or anything in between, listed on Turo for free.

There are no monthly charges.

Set your own daily fee and customize the timings.

Turo keeps 25% as a processing fee and will give you the rest.

Start A Dropshipping Store

Dropshipping stores are similar to a Print on demand store. In this business model, you work with a wholesaler or distributor who manufactures, stores, packages and ships the product to your customers as per orders.

Your job is to set up a store using platforms like Sellfy and Shopify, find out the right supplier with the right products through apps like Spocket and then bring those products in front of the right customers through marketing.

You can get started under $100 and make thousands of dollars in profit per day with some patience and hard work.

Sell Photography Online

Do you know that whether you are an experienced photographer or just like taking pictures in your spare time, you could make 200 dollars in one day by selling your photos online?

The best way to sell photos is through stock sites like Shutterstock and Adobe, as people have already come there looking for photos.

You can earn up to $100 per image.

And once an image has been uploaded and accepted it can be sold over and over again, pretty much forever!

Drive Uber Or Lyft

Driving for ride-hailing companies is one of the best ways to start making money if you have a car and some spare time.

The money you make will depend on when, where and how often you choose to drive with them.

If you have a valid driving license and fulfill the age requirements, you can easily register your car with Uber or Lyft driving apps.

Extra money can be made by driving during busy hours and completing the set number of trips in a certain amount of time.

You won’t make 200 dollars in one day with ridesharing apps but pairing this up with some other items on this list can definitely make you hit your goal in one day!

There are several freelancing platforms where you can create your gig; examples are Fiverr, Upwork and Freelancer (get $20 to try it with that link). These websites will display your resume, skills, projects completed, hourly rates, location, and languages spoken.

Rent Out Your RV While Not In Use

Many RVs sit unused in storage lots, driveways, and backyards.

Help People In Their Everyday To-Dos With TaskRabbit

TaskRabbit is a service-based website that helps people in running errands and getting odd jobs done by connecting them with people who know how to do it.

At TaskRabbit, you can do anything from cleaning and doing groceries to waiting in lines to assembling furniture and doing some yard work.

Taskrabbit charges $25 as signup fees and keeps a share of your every earning.

At TaskRabbit, you can be paid anywhere between $8 to $45 per hour with many people making $2000 per week while doing it full time.

And yes it can easily bring you 200 dollars ($200) in one day.

Do you have extra space in your house (maybe a room, attic, garage) that is empty and not in use?

Neighbor is a platform that is built to connect you with people looking for some extra space.

The space you rent on Neighbor is not limited to storage space. You can also rent out

  • Car, boat, or RV parking;
  • Attic space;
  • Closet space;
  • Outdoor sheds;
  • Bedrooms; and
  • Bicycle parking

At Neighbor, you can register and list your space for free on the apps of these companies.

The tenant’s credit card is charged automatically each month and the rent is deposited into your bank account. There are no contracts.

Tenants and hosts are supposed to give at least 30 days’ notice if there’s a need to remove the belongings. There’s a nominal service fee of 4.9% and $0.30 for every transaction that is paid out.

19. Earn Bonus Money From Different Apps

Whether it be a side hustle, part-time job, or just something to do in your spare time, there are dozens of mobile apps out there made for supplemental income.

These apps won’t get you rich. But you can still put some cash in your pocket by performing pretty simple tasks from the palm of your hand.

a. Rakuten (formerly Ebates – see this article I wrote for more info) – rewards you with cash back from shopping.

More than 2,500 stores are partnered with this platform. Those stores pay Rakuten a commission for referrals and Rakuten shares that commission with its users in the form of cashback.

b. Swagbucks- Swagbucks offers rewards points for shopping online, browsing the web, answering surveys, and watching entertaining videos. All of this can be facilitated through the mobile app.

You can redeem Swagbucks points for gift cards or get cashback to your PayPal account.

c. My Points –  is another cash back rewards app, similar to Rakuten and Swagbucks. New MyPoints members get a $10 welcome bonus in the form of an Amazon gift card or Visa gift card.

d. Inbox Dollars – Another paid survey site app.

With most of these tools, you won’t make 200 dollars in one day, but you can definitely make easy money. I have made over $1,200 just buy clicking a button before I check out.

Take Advantage Of Credit Card Bonuses

Many cards offer huge bonuses when you sign up for a credit card with them. Some cards provide redeemable points, miles, or plain cash, just for signing up.

Bonuses will vary based on the type of credit card you choose.

For example, Chase Sapphire credit card offers 60,000 points if you spend $4000 in the first 3 months of account opening. This bonus is equivalent to $750 toward travel.

Also, you can join different credit card affiliate programs to promote and make money on the side.

I have written a detailed guide covering over 20 credit cards and their affiliate programs with approximate commissions and how to signup.

You can access the resource here.

Resell High Ticket Items on Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace & eBay

“How can I make 200 fast?”

This is it.

Reselling is one of the fastest ways to make $200 in one day and the best way to resell items is to first look at your own house.

What expensive thing do you have which is not in use? What have you not used in the last year?

Maybe an extra TV or a Laptop. It can be a mobile phone, video games, or consoles that someone has gifted you and you have set them aside since then.

Look in your garage or attic. You would probably find something worthy enough to resell.

Pick it up, clean it a little bit, and list it on Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, or eBay.

Listing on these sites is free and usually, somebody will come to pick the things up.

You can also resell lower ticket items like clothes, jewelry, and books.

Take those items, clean them up, and get photos in good lighting.

Add them to Facebook Marketplace and into selling groups on Facebook. Manage your messages and answer potential buyer questions. You will be able to figure out how to make 200 dollars fast if you can master this one platform.

Businessfinancenews.com cannot guarantee that the user of the website will be approved by any lender or for any loan product, will be matched with a lender, or if matched, will receive a personal loan offer on the terms requested in the online form. The lenders may need to perform credit check via one or more credit bureaus, including but not limited to major credit bureaus in order to determine credit reliability and the scopes of credit products to offer. The lenders in the network may need to perform additional verifications, including but not limited to social security number, driver license number, national ID or other identification documents. The terms and scopes of loan products vary from lender to lender and can depend on numerous factors, including but not limited to the state of residence and credit standing of the applicant, as well as the terms determined by each lender individually.

APR REPRESENTATIVE

APR (Annual Percentage Rate) is the loan rate calculated for the annual term. Since businessfinancenews.com is not a lender and has no information regarding the terms and other details of personal loan products offered by lenders individually, businessfinancenews.com cannot provide the exact APR charged for any loan product offered by the lenders. The APRs greatly vary from lender to lender, state to state and depend on numerous factors, including but not limited to the credit standing of an applicant. Additional charges associated with the loan offer, including but not limited to origination fees, late payment, non-payment charges and penalties, as well as non-financial actions, such as late payment reporting and debt collection actions, may be applied by the lenders. All the financial and non-financial charges and actions are to be disclosed in any particular loan agreement in a clear and transparent manner. The APR is calculated as the annual charge and is not a financial charge for a personal loan product.

Late Payment Implications

It is highly recommended to contact the lender if late payment is expected or considered possible. In this case, late payment fees and charges may be implied. Federal and state regulations are determined for the cases of late payment and may vary from case to case. All the details concerning the procedures and costs associated with late payment are disclosed in loan agreement and should be reviewed prior to signing any related document.

Non-payment Implications

Financial and non-financial penalties may be implied in cases of non-payment or missed payment. Fees and other financial charges for late payment are to be disclosed in loan agreement. Additional actions related to non-payment, such as renewals, may be implied upon given consent. The terms of renewal are to be disclosed in each loan agreement individually. Additional charges and fees associated with renewal may be applied.

Debt collection practices and other related procedures may be performed. All the actions related to these practices are adjusted to Fair Debt Collection Practices Act regulations and other applicable federal and state laws in order to protect consumers from unfair lending and negative borrowing experience. The majority of lenders do not refer to outside collection agencies and attempt to collect the debt via in-house means.

Non-payment and late payment may have negative impact on the borrowers’ credit standing and downgrade their credit scores, as the lenders may report delinquency to credit bureaus, including but not limited to Equifax, Transunion, and Experian. In this case the results of non-payment and late payment may be recorded and remain in credit reports for the determined amount of time.
