Why Buy One Of Sam’s Hot Tubs?

Great Value

Everyone is looking for the best price possible when on the hunt for a hot tub. One of the primary reasons why people turn to Sam’s Club is that they have excellent value compared to the majority of hot tub dealerships out there. Compared to third-party hot tub dealers who work exclusively in that sector, they are able to offer top-of-the-line deals since their business model doesn’t call for marking up prices like traditional dealers or retail stores do.

Many stores have the burden of display and showroom costs, which means that to make a profit, they must mark up their products much higher. Because Sam’s Club doesn’t need to account for these costs with their “high sales volume and low profit margin” business model, they are able to sell their hot tubs for much cheaper, including their best seller spas. Let’s say you found a variety of hot tubs at your traditional third-party dealer for around $6,000 to $12,000. You would likely be able to find those same hot tubs at Sam’s Club anywhere from $2,000 to $8,000, which is a pretty major difference considering how easy it is.

Excellent Return Policy

A second major benefit that comes with purchasing your hot tub at Sam’s Club is the fact that they provide a very buyer-centric return policy that makes returns incredibly easy compared to many third party hot tub dealers out there. With this big-box store, you get a pretty fair amount of time to test out your hot tub and decide if you want to keep it or not. If you don’t like it, you can simply take it back to the location you purchased it from for a full refund.

Do take note that you will have to be able to properly transport your hot tub to that location, which can be a burden for some people depending on the size of their vehicles or the location that the hot tub has been placed or installed.

Why You Should Not Buy A Hot Tub At Sam’s Club?

Poor Support System

While we are in love with the return policies that Sam’s Club offers, their support system is not the best once you make your purchase. Compared to traditional spa dealers, the store has a shorter warranty period. We assume that it is because they don’t hold the same importance on maintenance and hot tub support as a typical dealer would, simply because they don’t specialize in hot tubs.

The warranty labor coverage is also much shorter when put up against other third-party dealers. Some people have complained that they didn’t receive labor compensation whatsoever. What this means for the buyer is that he or she won’t get to deal with a hot tub maintenance person thanks to their labor coverage, but will have to hire a third-party maintenance person instead, which can cost quite a bit. Luckily, Sam’s Club will provide the broken part in question with free shipping, though it doesn’t justify the lack of support.

Another major issue is that they don’t have a specialized line for hot tub-specific warranty claims. This means that you could be talking to people at their business center who might not know how to help you, especially if you aren’t totally sure what is wrong with your spa in the first place. This can make trying to fix your broken spa an extremely stressful situation, and you likely didn’t get a spa to have more stress in your life.

Small Range Of Tubs

Any place that specializes in a single product will typically have a wider range of options within that product type. Of course, Sam’s Club doesn’t specialize in manufacturing and distributing hot tubs, meaning their range of hot tub choices is a bit limited compared to your traditional hot tub dealer. You won’t get to select from the same number of shapes, designs, features, and more. Plus, you likely won’t have the ability to upgrade your hot tub with higher tier features if you want to either.

All of the store’s hot tubs are preconfigured so that you can buy them easily and at a very low price, and for those people who are on budgets, this might be great. Unfortunately, those who want to go above and beyond with their hot tub purchase might feel a bit disappointed.

Best Seller Sam’s Hot Tub Brands You Can Expect

Everlast Spas

Everlast Spas is a brand that comes out of Pennsylvania and is manufactured by the parent company, Strong Spas. Everlast is an exclusive big box store brand, meaning you likely won’t find these tubs at your traditional spa dealers. Everlast Spas come with the latest in high-tech spa features, perfect for big spenders out there who want to own something on the higher end of things.

While they do have a website, which you can browse here, there is a serious lack of information. Don’t expect to get ahold of a legitimate business center if you want to talk to people about spas.

Lifesmart Spas

Lifesmart Spas is a subsidiary of the Hot Spring Spas and Caldera Spas companies. Their products lie on the lower end of the spectrum, perfect for budget-conscious buyers. Unlike Everlast Spas, Lifesmart Spas is not exclusive to big-box retailers. In fact, you can find them through Home Depot, eBay, Amazon, Wayfair, and a ton of other different stores and platforms. You can choose between their 12 models to find your favorite, low-priced tub.

Getting Your Hot Tub

Sam’s Club is a top-notch big-box store that has acted as an innovator for in-person shopping for many years now. Having a membership helps people to stretch their budgets so that they can afford to buy bigger and better things without having to spend the extra cash. Luckily for us spa lovers, the same idea rings true.

If you’re looking to buy a spa soon, we highly recommend checking out what this store has available. Of course, make sure to do your research so you can rest assured that your desired spa is the one you truly want.

Good luck and happy hot tubbing!
