Determine How Much Sealant You Will Need
For every 250 gallons of water in your hot tub, you will need about 4 oz of leak sealant.
An average 6-person hot tub holds around 350 gallons of water, meaning you will need to add at least 5.6 ounces of leak sealant to fix a leak. On the other hand, if you have a smaller two-person hot tub that only has around 200 gallons inside, you should only need to use around 3.2 oz of leak sealant.
Remove Filtering Devices and Cartridges
To prevent your hot tub filtering devices from sealing, you need to remove them before you attempt to fix aleak. Even when the filter tank is empty, you should continue circulating water through it.
