ADJ REDIST PURCHASE BAL
The statement ADJ REDIST PURCHASE BAL is a line item in the AMEX credit cards report statement. It is an AMEX internal transaction and is later compensated and settled with the entry DR ADJ REDIST CADV PRIN, which we already discussed here.
It is not a scam and is not an issue with the merchant whose transaction is related. It has appeared, as far as we know, on Platinum cards, but it could appear on any American Express credit card.
If you still have doubts, that is normal because the entry is really confusing. In this case, call American Express at the number indicated on the back of the credit card.
You have the right as a consumer that all the line items in a report clearly define the transaction type, the date, the merchant, and the amount.
These entries are usually fully processed in about ten days and there you will notice the actual data properly settled.
